5......... He hands Nicki a glass of champagne
4.........She locked her fingers with his.
3.........He pulled her close.
2.........They lifted their glasses.
1.........The ball drops. The crowd erupts with new year cheer. They toast. His hand wraps around her waist & lifts her up. She smoothed his face with her hand. They lock eyes. Fireworks erupt. They kiss passionately as silver& gold confetti rained down around them. She could feel the love in his eyes & she hated it. That was supposed to be her on that stage in the middle of Times Square, kissing him. She was not supposed to be the one kicked out of the hotel like a groupie. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she watched them on the jumbo screen. One way or another she would get him to love her that way. She had to. She wiped her face as she turned & walked away.
